The IT Project Engineer is the IT project manager for power transmission Ampacimon’s projects. He/she is also the primary technical resource for the sales force for the ICT aspects of the projects.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage production system operations (Software as a Service, AWS Cloud…).
Manage IT part of customer project execution. Participate to the technical documentation of the customer’s system and get involved in project management decisions.
Manage and monitor the applications deployed in our customer’s infrastructures.
Maintain expert level of knowledge in communications technology, and industry protocols for integration of data into transmission EMS/SCADA. Manage the network communication between company’s application and customer devices.
Provides technical support to customers and communicate with customers on IT or cyber security request.
Communicate with internal departments and maintain a strong link with the R&D team in particular.
Work with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended. Participate to release testing.
Automate tasks and data manipulation through scripting.
Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats. Assist the deployment of security policies.
Travel to project sites to perform integration and training services.

REQUIRED SKILLS

‍

In-depth experience in deployment and configuration of enterprise applications in production infrastructure.
Experience in writing technical specification of complex IT projects.
Very good knowledge of computer networks, networking protocols (firewall, load-balancers, redundant systems) and wireless communications (GSM, LPWAN, Satellite…).
Very good knowledge of cyber-security (SSO, system hardening, cryptography, network security, standards, best practices, RBAC…).
Working experience with Linux and Windows Server administration.
Working experience with virtualization and cloud environment (AWS).
Good knowledge of SQL and non-SQL database administration.
Experience with Java Enterprise application and Java EE application servers.
Experience with IoT or cellular devices.
Experience with scripting in Linux and Windows.
Good knowledge in SCADA system and industrial protocols (e.g. TASE.2, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3) is an asset.
Ability to work in an international environment and remote teams.
