Ampacimon's new era: changing to support the future of smarter grids

New leadership, new headquarters, new talents: Ampacimon's next chapter.

Changing for a reason

‍

At Ampacimon, changing means we have the people, expertise, and infrastructure needed to help utilities tackle one of the greatest challenges facing the energy transition: unlocking more capacity from existing grid infrastructure quickly, safely, and cost-effectively.

‍

Over the past year, Ampacimon has reached an exciting new milestone. From strengthening our leadership team and welcoming new talent to relocating our headquarters to Liège's Legia Park innovation campus, we are investing in the future of our company and, more importantly, in the success of our customers.

‍

Together, these milestones mark another important step in Ampacimon's evolution from an innovative technology pioneer to a trusted global partner helping utilities deploy grid-enhancing technologies at scale.

‍

A new leadership chapter

‍

Earlier this year, Ampacimon announced the appointment of Mathias Garny as Chief Executive Officer, ushering in a new chapter for the company as it continues its global expansion and supports utilities facing growing challenges related to electrification, renewable integration, grid congestion, and rising electricity demand.

‍

Under Mathias' leadership, Ampacimon remains firmly focused on its mission: helping utilities maximize the value of their existing infrastructure through innovative monitoring and optimization technologies while accelerating the transition toward a more resilient and sustainable power system.

‍

Mathias brings a strong vision for scaling the company while preserving the customer-centric culture and technical excellence that have defined Ampacimon since its inception. He is supported by an experienced Board of Directors whose continued guidance and commitment provide a strong foundation for the company's next phase of development.

A new home for innovation

‍

Ampacimon recently relocated its headquarters to LégiaPark in Liège, Belgium. Located within one of Wallonia's leading innovation hubs, our new offices provide a modern and collaborative environment where engineering, production, product management, customer success, and business teams can work more closely together than ever before.

‍

The move represents more than a change of address. It reflects our long-term commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and creating a workplace where talented people can thrive while developing technologies that help modernize power grids around the world. As demand for grid-enhancing technologies continues to grow globally, the new facilities provide the space and infrastructure needed to support future expansion across all areas of the business.

‍

The new facilities have already begun serving as a hub for collaboration. Earlier this month, we welcomed colleagues from around the globe for a team-building and workshop event. Bringing together experts from across the business under one roof provided a valuable opportunity to share knowledge, align on our vision for the future and strengthen our relationships.

‍

Beyond strategy sessions and workshops, the gathering was also a chance to reinforce what makes Ampacimon special: a culture built on collaboration, innovation, and teamwork. As our company continues to expand internationally, moments like these help ensure we remain connected by a shared purpose and common values.

‍

Strengthening our Dynamic Line Rating expertise

‍

To support this growing demand, several strategic positions have recently joined our DLR organization.

‍

  • Head of Global Delivery

As deployments increase across multiple regions, the Head of Global Delivery will oversee Ampacimon's project execution strategy worldwide. This role is responsible for building scalable delivery processes, ensuring consistency across regions, optimizing resource allocation, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

‍

"The sun never sets on our commitment to Customer Service! I'm proud to lead a Customer Success-driven team based in Europe, the USA and Australia, building trust with customers worldwide, with passion, every day.” – Christophe Goossens

‍

  • Senior Project Manager (US)

‍

The North American market remains one of Ampacimon's fastest-growing regions. Our new Senior Project Manager will lead complex utility deployments across the United States, coordinating customers, engineering teams, field operations, and partners to ensure smooth project execution from planning through commissioning.

‍

“Our Delivery team is not only focused on the successful implantation of GridBoost, but also on how we can maximize the value and impact of this platform to suit the unique needs and goals of each client.” – PJ Haley

‍

  • Sales Manager North America

‍

“I'm excited to join Ampacimon at this point in its history because the utility industry is facing unprecedented demand for solutions that maximize existing grid capacity. Between accelerating load growth, renewable integration challenges, regulatory pressure, and significant public and private investment, Ampacimon is uniquely positioned as the industry leader to help utilities meet these challenges.” - Mike Leflar

‍

As utilities seek practical solutions to increase transmission capacity and integrate new energy resources, the Sales Manager North America will help expand Ampacimon's presence across the continent. The role focuses on developing strategic customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and helping utilities understand how DLR can address today's grid challenges.

‍

  • Delivery & Customer Success Lead

‍

Successful deployments are only the beginning of the customer journey. The Delivery & Customer Success Lead ensures utilities achieve long-term value from their investment by supporting onboarding, adoption, operational integration, performance reviews, and ongoing engagement throughout the lifecycle of a project.

‍

“I’ve spent my career delivering technology into utilities, and the lesson is always the same, the real work starts after go-live. I’m looking forward to being there for our customers at every step, so the solution fits into how they actually operate.” – Waqas Ali

‍

  • Production Technician Specialist

‍

Behind every successful deployment is reliable, high-quality hardware. Our Production Technician Specialist strengthens Ampacimon's manufacturing operations by supporting the assembly, testing, validation, and preparation of sensor systems before they are deployed in the field.

‍

“In a world moving increasingly toward electrification, I’m joining the dynamic Ampacimon team with great enthusiasm! I’m proud to bring my multidisciplinary technical expertise, built through experience in the offshore, automated machinery, and drone sectors, to production and industrialization. Precision, integrity, and strict adherence to procedures are the watchwords for executing flawless work.” – Philippe Mathieu

‍

  • Firmware Engineer

Innovation remains at the core of our technology. The Firmware Engineer contributes to the development and continuous improvement of the embedded intelligence powering Ampacimon's sensors, helping enhance device performance, reliability, cybersecurity, and future product capabilities.

‍

"As a software engineer specializing in embedded systems, with experience in sectors such as railway, space, and nuclear, I am very excited to join Ampacimon. I look forward to learning new technologies, taking on new challenges, and contributing my experience to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. " – Laurent Guillaume

Building the future together

‍

The combination of new leadership, new headquarters, and a growing team reflects a company preparing for the future.

‍

As utilities face increasing pressure to deliver more power, connect new renewable resources, support growing data center demand, and improve grid reliability, Ampacimon is investing in the people, infrastructure, and expertise needed to help customers succeed.

‍

Our relocation to LégiaPark and the arrival of talented new colleagues across delivery, engineering, production, customer success, and commercial functions represent much more than company growth. They reinforce our commitment to helping utilities deploy proven grid-enhancing technologies at scale and unlock the full potential of their existing assets.

‍

We are excited about what lies ahead and grateful to our employees, customers, partners, investors, and Board members who continue to support our journey.

‍

Together, we are building smarter, more resilient grids for the energy transition.
